William K. Kesto, MD is a Board-Certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine surgeon. He specializes in advanced shoulder and elbow surgery, knee ligament reconstruction and joint replacement, cartilage restoration of the knee and patellofemoral disorders. He is also experienced in robotic knee replacement using Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology and reparative medicine including Lipogems® and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.
He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. Prior to that, he completed his residency at Detroit Medical Center and St. John Providence Hospital and earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Kesto is active in research with publications and presentations in the field of sports medicine. He is the Assistant Program Director of the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at Henry Ford Providence Hospital and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is fluent in English, Aramaic/Chaldean, and Arabic.
