Stephanie Nulty, M.B.A is an accomplished Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized expertise in the comprehensive care of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity. Dedicated to restoring function and improving quality of life for patients, Dr. Nulty combines advanced surgical training with a patient-centered approach to care.

A Michigan native, Dr. Nulty was born and raised in Macomb. She attended college at Michigan State University, where she majored in Human Biology with a minor in Nutritional Sciences with a specialization in Health Promotion. She graduated valedictorian from MSU and was recognized with the prestigious Board of Trustees Award.

Dr. Nulty earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan, where she was honored for Excellence in Bioethics, reflecting her commitment to compassionate and ethical medical practice. During her medical training she worked as a personal trainer, allowing her to help others improve their health. She completed a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Cambridge as a St. Catharine’s Benavitch Scholar, broadening her perspective on healthcare delivery and leadership. She went on to complete her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Henry Ford Health, where she was actively involved in projects to improve the environmental sustainability of healthcare She then completed fellowship training in Hand Surgery at the University of Arizona, where she gained extensive experience in complex reconstructive procedures.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Nulty has contributed to the academic field as the author of several peer-reviewed publications, surgical technique instructional videos, and orthopedic textbook chapters. Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of hand and upper extremity conditions, including fractures, traumatic injuries to nerves and soft tissue, nerve compression syndromes, arthritis, and soft tissue masses. She is passionate about providing individualized care that helps patients return to work, hobbies, and the activities they love.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nulty values health and fitness and enjoys staying active through weight training and hiking. She is married to Phillip Nulty, M.D., an Otolaryngologist in Ann Arbor, and together they enjoy being part of the Michigan medical community. They enjoy spending their weekends at Michigan tailgates and exploring northern Michigan.
