Dr. Moore is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Nutritional Sciences, followed by medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then completed Family Medicine Residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital and a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Connecticut. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and was an Hour Detroit Magazine Top Doc in 2018.
He has extensive experience with concussion treatment, diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. Dr. Moore has honed his diagnostic skills through the evaluation of thousands of athletic injuries spanning obstacle races, combat sports as well as professional and NCAA athletics. His clinical interests include chronic tendinopathy, Tenex percutaneous tenotomy, regenerative medicine including platelet-rich plasma and stem cell therapy, all athletic-related injuries, and community sports coverage.
He has produced multiple research projects and has been a speaker at a host of national sports medicine conferences, including the Michigan American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, and American College of Sports Medicine. He is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at the DMC Sinai Grace/MSUCOM Family Medicine Residency and a Clinical Assistant Professor at MSUCOM.
Since beginning practice, Dr. Moore has cared for athletes at the Division I collegiate, Olympic and Professional levels. Most recently, Dr. Moore served as team physician for the Detroit Red Wings and the Michigan Bucks PDL soccer team. He currently covers multiple community sports, including the Milford high schools, Lakeland High School, Hartland High School, the Detroit Rugby Club, and the Detroit Roller Derby Girls. He also is active in event coverage, including marathons, Tough Mudder obstacle course races, Cirque du Soleil, USA Figure Skating, USA Volleyball, Crossfit competitions, and the Michigan Pro Soccer Combine.
He enjoys getting to know his patients and is passionate about establishing strong doctor-patient relationships. He believes that focusing on treating the person and not just the diagnosis, can significantly impact outcomes.
He is married with 3 children. He enjoys Crossfit, basketball, and playing the drums.
